Great bit of gear, went from 1mB/1mb during peak times on Skymuster to 92mb/32mb on the Optus network.

Data only sim in, point and shoot. Mikrotik app makes setting up a breeze, live graph of signal and noise levels so you can get it just right.

I only have 1 bar of 4G inside my house, 2 bars if I sit on top of my roof.....

Be aware it does not support all bands, 700MHz (band 28) is not supported, so check your nearby towers first.

These devices Kick 4G a.... I have one, bought before Duxtel started importing them and a mate has now gone from abysmal 0.4 Mbs ADSL to 66Mbs "Optus Home Wireless Broadband". We laugh and say he has a 15,000% speed improvement. Coupled with a DuxLink WiFi we are both enjoying NBN level speeds. As we aren't huge data users, a 200GB plan @ $70/m will cost us $35/m.

Installation is trivial. Plug in the POE, string a cable, get it up high and swing it around until the LTE light comes on. Job done. Order the QMP-LHG quickMount pro for LHG as well. $12.50 well spent.

Warning, the SIM card slot is tricky, I took the cover off to check I wasn't breaking anything. It would also be good if Mikrotik put some high-intensity LEDS that are visible from underneath but it isn't the end of the world.

If you have even a breath of LTE (even Telstra!) you won't be disappointed. Get one - and kiss SkyMuster goodbye.
